Garumara National Park is situated on the bank of rivers Murti and Raidak in Jalpaiguri district, West Bengal. It is a small forest area about 80 sq. km. But very important and famous to visitors for its natarul population of one-horned Rhinoceros. In 1949, Garumara forest was declared as wildlife sanctuary and in the year of 1992 it was declared as National Park. The park is home to a large number of snakes, venomous and non-venomous, including the Indian python, one of the largest snakes in the world, and the king cobra - the world's largest venomous snake.
