Sr Engineer Building Surface Mount Technology Excellence Job Description Experience: 4+ yrs Salary: Based on Previous Experience Education: Diploma/BE in Mech What You will do: Process Ownership and Optimisation: Using Six Sigma or comparable techniques to maximise yields and reduce defects, you will be the technical authority for all SMT processes, such as solder paste printing, pick-and-place programming (NPI), reflow profiling, and AOI. Quality and Reliability: To implement long-term Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), you will develop and monitor essential process parameters, carry out process capability studies (Cpk/Ppk), and oversee Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for persistent SMT faults. NPI and Tooling Integration: You will oversee the flawless introduction of new products (NPI) into the SMT line, with an emphasis on fixture design, stencil design optimisation, and seamless integration with special injection-molded substrates or housings. Equipment Management: You will manage the maintenance, calibration, and qualification of all SMT equipment, evaluating new technologies and recommending capital equipment purchases to enhance capacity, speed, and capability. Mentorship and Documentation: You will provide advanced technical guidance and training to SMT technicians and operators, while ensuring all work instructions, control plans, and process documentation are current and compliant with ISO or IATF standards.
