Dilute nitric acid prices in Mumbai have changed according to recent information from Indian Petrochem sources. The prices have been rising since the owing to low product supply, and this trend is projected to continue, pushing costs high in the near future. Domestic prices in Mumbai rose by Rs.2/kg to Rs.44/kg. Despite the recent increase, industry analysts predict that dilute nitric acid prices will remain stable for the foreseeable future Dilute Nitric acid is used in the production of ammonium nitrate and calcium ammonium nitrate which find applications as fertilizers. Ammonium nitrate is also used in the manufacturing of urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) used in fertilizer formulations and also as explosives. Ammonia, oxygen, and water are the raw materials of nitric acid manufacturing Dilute Nitric acid is produced in a number of factories in India.
