Senior Engineer Role Offered Direct Paintshop Maintenance Job Description Primary Task: leading, organising, and carrying out advanced maintenance tasks for all systems, machines, and equipment in the paint shop of our Chennai plastic injection moulding facility. While abiding by strict safety and environmental standards, this role's major objectives are to maximise machine reliability, reduce downtime, guarantee the best possible surface finish for moulded components, and promote ongoing maintenance practice improvement. Responsibilities Help with creating and overseeing the paint shop's yearly maintenance budget. Work with production to optimise robotic paint pathways and settings for reliable quality and material efficiency. Coordinate with the stores and procurement departments to manage and maximise the inventory of essential spare parts for paint shop equipment. Perform routine risk assessments and safety audits for all paint shop maintenance tasks. Encourage team members to share information and cultivate a collaborative atmosphere. Required Abilities: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with a CMMS/ERP system. Ability to lead, mentor, and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment. Strong commitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and quality excellence.
