Change into a Trainee AutoCAD Design Engineer Job Description Your Impact: A proficient and meticulous AutoCAD Design Engineer is what we are looking for. Creating and editing intricate 2D and 3D drawings and models of mechanical parts, assemblies, and layouts for our production procedures and goods will be your responsibility. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, competence with AutoCAD software, an eye for correctness, and respect to industry standards are all characteristics of the perfect applicant. Key Responsibilities: Based on engineering specifications and sketches, use AutoCAD to create comprehensive 2D and maybe 3D technical drawings and models of parts, assemblies, and tools. Based on engineering modifications and input, update and revise current drawings. Maintain and arrange drawing files and documentation in accordance with business protocols. Continue to be well-versed on the manufacturing procedures for which the drawings are being made. Take part in design evaluations and offer drafting-related suggestions. What you Need: strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), engineering drawing standards, and manufacturing-related draughting concepts. the capacity to correctly decipher verbal directions, engineering drawings, and specifications. understanding of manufacturing procedures that are pertinent to our Chennai operations, such as machining, fabrication, and assembly. knowledge of material specs and how they are shown in drawings.
