Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and aligning components. Tack weld components in place prior to final welding. Skills Proficient in various arc welding techniques and procedures. Ability to read and interpret welding symbols and engineering drawings. Knowledge of different metals and their welding characteristics. Understanding of welding safety procedures and practices in an industrial setting.
