NPD Dept needs Efficient Asst Manager Job Description Responsibilities Support the development and execution of the New Product Development (NPD) strategy for our manufacturing operations in Chennai, aligning with overall business goals and market needs. Manage specific NPD projects from concept to launch, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards within the Chennai context. Conduct thorough market research and analysis, including competitor analysis and identification of customer needs specific to the Chennai and broader Indian market. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Engineering, Production, Marketing, and Sales (potentially based in Chennai and other locations) throughout the NPD lifecycle. Develop detailed product specifications, technical documentation, and manufacturing feasibility assessments for new products intended for production in our Chennai facility. Coordinate prototyping, testing, and validation activities for new products, ensuring they meet performance and quality requirements relevant to the local operating conditions in Chennai. Skills Solid understanding of product development processes, methodologies, and tools. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address technical and market challenges. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in English. Proficiency in Tamil would be a significant advantage for collaborating with local teams in Chennai. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
