This time India has done a digital strike on Pakistan. Amid the ongoing conflict between the two countries, today on Monday, the Indian government banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for spreading inflammatory and communally sensitive content, false and misleading statements and misinformation. This action has been taken against Pakistan on the recommendation of the Home Ministry. The Home Ministry released a list of banned channels, which includes popular Pakistani news channels Dawn News and Geo News. It also expressed strong feelings about a news article published by the BBC on the Pahalgam terror attack and said a formal letter has been written to them for calling the terrorists as extremists. The Home Ministry has said that the BBC's reporting will be monitored.  | |
