Drive Innovation Join as Assistant Manager NPD Job Description We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our New Product Development (NPD) Department in Chennai. You will be a key contributor in managing and executing NPD projects from ideation to launch within our manufacturing environment. This role requires a strong understanding of product development processes, project management skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to bring new products to the Indian market and beyond. Responsibilities Support the identification and evaluation of new product ideas and market opportunities relevant to our manufacturing capabilities and target market in India. Contribute to the development of new product concepts, specifications, and feasibility studies, considering local market needs and regulations. Oversee the design and prototyping phases, ensuring alignment with product specifications and manufacturing feasibility within our Chennai facility. Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability for the Indian market. Support the testing and validation phases of new products to ensure they meet performance, reliability, and relevant Indian regulatory requirements. Skills: Technical aptitude and a basic understanding of manufacturing processes and materials relevant to our industry. Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
