In view of the rising tension between India and Pakistan, the central government has stepped up security preparations. The Home Ministry has issued instructions to all states to prepare for civil defence. A mock drill will be organised on May 7, in which sirens warning of air strikes will be sounded. The aim of this exercise is to teach ordinary citizens how to save their lives in case of a war-like situation or air strikes.  | |
