After Pakistan, China's X handle blocked in India, Global Times banned | |
The Indian government has banned the social media of China's state-run media house Global Times. This action has been taken by the central government amid the tense situation between India and Pakistan and the news of changing the names of many places in Arunachal Pradesh. India had already warned the Global Times against spreading misinformation. The Indian Embassy in China on May 7 advised the media outlet to check its facts and sources before posting on social media. The embassy wrote on Twitter that Global Times, we caution you to refrain from spreading misinformation and ensure the credibility of your sources.  | |
