At the same time, rising demand from industries like automotive, footwear, and industrial goods is putting upward pressure on prices. Traders say that if this trend continues, prices could soon breach the ₹160/kg mark. The rising cost of raw materials like SMR20 could soon start impacting the cost of finished rubber products. Small and mid-sized manufacturers, who are already facing high input costs, may bear the brunt of this increase. End consumers might eventually feel the impact in the form of higher product prices.
