In Dahod, Balwant Khabar, son of state Panchayat and Agriculture Minister Bachu Khabar, and the then Taluka Development Officer Darshan Patel were arrested late last Friday night in connection with a scam of Rs 71 crore under MGNREGA. Bachu Khabar's second son Kiran Khabar was absconding in this case. Now, with his arrest, Minister Bachu Khabar's troubles have increased. Apart from this, details have been received that APO Dilip Chauhan and Taluka Development Officer Rathwa of Dhanpur have also been arrested. It was also alleged that the agency of Bachu Khabar's younger son Kiran had embezzled more than Rs 7 crore from MGNREGA.  | |
