Polymeric MDI MR200 prices witnessed another decline today in the Mumbai market According to ground-level discussions with traders and distributors, buying sentiment remains subdued, and booking activity from buyers’ end has slowed down considerably. Due to this drop in demand, sellers have reduced their offers by Rs.2/kg. As a result, the current market price has fallen from Rs.174/kg to Rs.172/kg. Last six month price trend: Looking at the six-month price trend, Polymeric MDI was priced at Rs.205/kg around December 9. It then declined to Rs.195/kg by December 26. In late January, the price began recovering, reaching Rs.206/kg by mid-February. However, weak demand conditions and sufficient stock availability led to a steady price correction, with the price falling to Rs.174/kg by May 13. Today’s decrease brings the product further down to Rs.172/kg — a continuation of the bearish trend driven by lackluster buying interest. Market participants are currently cautious, and price recovery will likely depend on a revival in downstream demand in the coming weeks. Key raw material aniline last six months price trend: Aniline (imported, tanker load) prices at Kandla Port have remained stable at Rs.113/kg for the past few days. According to market sources, the product has entered a consolidation phase after witnessing a gradual decline in April. Looking at the six-month trend, Aniline prices stood at Rs.123.5/kg in mid-December and moved up to Rs.127.5/kg by mid-January. From then until March 25, the price showed only minimal fluctuations, indicating a relatively stable market phase.
