Job Description: Location: Chennai Experience: 2-5 years Qualification: Any Graduate / Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Production, or relevant field Salary: 25k to 35k Job Summary: We are looking for a proactive and experienced Assistant Purchase Manager to join our procurement team in the manufacturing industry. The role involves handling vendor management, purchase planning, procurement of raw materials, and ensuring timely delivery as per production requirements. Immediate Joiners Preferred. Key Responsibilities: 1. Source and procure raw materials, components, and equipment required for production 2. Negotiate with vendors for pricing, quality, and delivery terms 3. Maintain strong vendor relationships and develop new suppliers 4. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team for material planning 5. Prepare purchase orders and follow up on delivery schedules 6. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards 7. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier data Skills Required: 1. Sound knowledge of procurement and supply chain in manufacturing 2. Good negotiation and communication skills 3. Proficiency in Purchase Management Software 4. Strong vendor coordination and relationship management abilities 5.
