We Are Hiring a Head of Purchase in Growing Manufacturing Company! Job Description: Role : Purchase Head Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Industry: Manufacturing. Working Days: Monday to Saturday Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to meet production requirements. Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and negotiate contracts for raw materials, machinery, and other resources. Coordinate with production, stores, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow. Review and approve purchase orders, quotations, and vendor evaluations. Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reports for audits. Educational Qualifications: B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline. Additional certifications in Supply Chain Management or ERP systems are an advantage. Experience: 6 to 12 years of relevant experience in the purchase/procurement department within a manufacturing industry. Proven track record in handling direct and indirect procurement, vendor development, and material cost control. Key Skills Required: Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. Deep knowledge of raw materials, consumables, and machinery used in manufacturing. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Excellent communication and team leadership skills. Understanding of inventory control, cost analysis, and budgeting. Knowledge of commercial terms, taxes, and logistics regulations.
