Start Your Machining Career as a VMC Operator Job Description : Job Title: VMC Operator – Fresher Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Department: Production / CNC Machining Job Type: Full-time (Rotational Shifts) Qualification: ITI / Diploma / 10th or 12th Pass Salary: ₹14,000 – ₹18,000 per month + Overtime + PF + ESI Job Summary: We are hiring enthusiastic freshers for the role of VMC Operator to work in a precision manufacturing environment. This role offers hands-on training with modern VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines and an opportunity to grow within the machining industry. Key Responsibilities: Assist in setting up and operating VMC machines under supervision Load and unload workpieces and tools safely Perform basic measurements using instruments like vernier caliper, micrometer Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area Report any machine issues or defects to supervisors Learn to read and follow machining drawings and job sheets Follow production schedules and quality standards Support senior operators in fixture and tool settings Skills Required: Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and equipment Willingness to learn CNC/VMC machine operations Ability to work in a team and follow instructions Good physical stamina and discipline on the shop floor Readiness to work in shifts Benefits: On-the-job training provided Overtime pay, PF, ESI Canteen facility (in some locations) Growth opportunities in CNC Programming and Quality Control roles Who Can Apply: Freshers with ITI (Fitter/Turner/Machinist) or Diploma in Mechanical 10th or 12th pass candidates with interest in machining Immediate joiners preferred Willing to work in industrial zones in Chennai Regards, Sofia HR, 8220184451 | |
