Vacancy for Tool Room Designer – Quality, Fabrication & Shifting Job Title: Tool Room Designer (with Quality, Fabrication & Shifting Experience) Location: Chennai Experience Required: 2 to 5 years Qualification: Diploma / B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical, Tool & Die, or related field Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Days: Monday to Saturday (6 days/week) Job Responsibilities: Design and develop jigs, fixtures, press tools, and dies using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) Coordinate with the fabrication team for tool manufacturing and assembly Ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance through quality inspection using instruments like vernier, micrometer, height gauge, etc. Plan and support tool shifting, installation, and setup in production as required Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to troubleshoot tool-related issues Maintain tool documentation and revision history Support continuous improvement in tool design and shop floor process efficiency Skills Required: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Unigraphics, or similar) Strong understanding of tool room operations, die manufacturing, and fabrication processes Knowledge of tolerances, materials, machining, and heat treatment processes Familiarity with quality standards and inspection methods Experience in tool shifting/logistics is an added advantage Regards, Sofia HR, 8220184451 | |
