Tool Room Engineer From Trainee to Adept in Tools Job Description Who You Are: Tool Maintenance & Repair: Using precision equipment like surface grinders, lathes, and milling machines, you will engage in hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of intricate production tooling. Fabrication & Modification: With careful attention to GD&T, you will use a variety of tool room equipment to create new parts, jigs, and fixtures from design blueprints. Preventive Strategy: In order to reduce unplanned failures and increase the tools' usable lives, you will create and carry out Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs for all tooling assets. Process Improvement: In order to increase tool life and product quality, you will examine tooling performance and failure modes and suggest design or material modifications to engineering. Quality Assurance: Before releasing repaired and produced equipment to production, you will use extremely precise measuring devices to ensure they satisfy all necessary parameters.
