Tool Room Engineer Converting Mistakes into Ideas Job Description Experience: 3 to 5 yrs Salary: Based on Previous Experience Education: Diploma/BE in Mech What You will do: Emergency Breakdown Management: You will oversee the prompt response and practical repair of any critical tooling malfunctions, quickly identifying and carrying out efficient repairs on intricate production equipment. Root Cause Analysis (RCA): You will methodically record and carry out a thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on significant and recurring tooling failures, putting engineering fixes and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) in place to get rid of the breakdown's origin. Precision Repair Execution: While closely adhering to rigorous dimensional tolerances and surface finish standards, you will carry out high-precision repair activities, such as welding, grinding, machining, and careful fitting of intricate tool components. Technical Improvement: You will collaborate closely with the Design and Production Engineering teams, proposing and designing minor tool modifications or design improvements to enhance tool durability, improve manufacturability, and prevent future failures. Documentation and CMMS: You will maintain accurate, detailed records of all breakdown events, repair histories, labor hours, and spare parts consumption within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support reliability metrics and strategic decision-making.
