Engineer Developing Theories into Exact Tools Job Description Impact: The development of sophisticated, high-cavitation injection moulds that are optimised for optimum longevity, minimal cycle time, and zero-defect production is critical to the future of plastic component manufacturing. We are creating an environment that combines rigorous process validation, powerful Moldflow simulation, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to create top-notch tooling. Key Responsibilities: You will oversee the entire mould development lifecycle on your own. This entails using CAD software to create intricate 3D mould designs and 2D production drawings, carrying out Moldflow/filling analysis to optimise gate positions, cooling circuits, and venting, and defining essential tool materials. During fabrication and preliminary testing, you will be the only one responsible for making sure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) is fulfilled and working closely with tool room vendors (or an internal tool room). Your technical proficiency in cooling design, runner systems, and tooling standards will directly and palpably reduce lead time for mould development, minimise product failures, and minimise unit costs.
