Engineer Create Superior Tools Create Better Things Job Description Who You Are: Mould Design & Detailing: Using sophisticated CAD software, you will create comprehensive 3D models and intricate 2D manufacturing drawings for injection moulds, including core/cavity layouts, cooling systems, ejection mechanisms, and gating strategies. Design for Manufacturability (DFM): To guarantee moldability and adherence to quality standards, you will perform comprehensive DFM assessments on plastic part designs, suggesting changes to wall thickness, drafts, ribs, and transitions. Mould Flow Analysis: Before committing to tool steel cutting, you will run or analyse Moldflow/CAE simulation data to optimise gate placements, runner systems, and cooling channel layouts. Tool Development Oversight: You will work closely with the internal Tool Room or outside mould manufacturers, supervising the first tool trials, assessing manufacturing progress, and offering technical support.
